Very cool place with an atmosphere unlike any other coffee shops.First of all, the coffee is delicious, and that is the most important thing. Aside from that, this shop is definitely unique in the good ways. It has a grungy, messy feel but is clean and tasteful. Lots of things to catch your eye and things you'll keep noticing. Oddly enough, i would suggest checking out the bathrooms (though i only saw the mens room). It is the definition of artistic graffiti. The walls are slathered with it, but amusingly enough it is all positive messages and funny, sometimes poetic, messages. It is also immaculately clean, ironically.Overall, an awesome, unique place with great coffee.
Overall the best coffee spot in Asheville. A regular coffee to stay is the most reasonably priced you will find downtown, and there is always a selection of light, medium or dark roasts. I also like that they offer an 8 oz to-go cup. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This is my go-to spot for a coffee break, work, or meeting with a friend.
This was an enjoyable coffee shop! The barista was friendly and made our drinks promptly! They had a decent menu with plenty of different kinds of coffee and snacks to choose from. They had local artwork for sale on the wall which added a nice aesthetic. Their prices were a bit high, but in the end it was worth it to try! I decided on the cardamom and rose latte and it was delicious! Next time we are up here, we will be back!
Great little coffee house.
The Ethiopian roast is easily the best coffee I've ever had in my life.
Izzy's is a great place for a nice coffee. The barista was very kind and helpful, and my cold brew coffee was delicious! Definitely making this my new coffee and chill spot.
The coffee here is amazing. Consistently has delicious coffees from artisan roasters from around the country for some of the most delicious drinks in town. Rather than being burdened by a single source roaster, Izzy's searches for the best coffee. It's exciting to keep coming back to see what gems they've dug up. With a planet full of coffee shops, this is the one you want. Yum!
A little locally owned coffee shop with 2 locations. (Downtown and West Asheville). The downtown location is my favorite mainly because it is the original but both are great. Amazing coffee. I highly recommend their ice coffee, as well as their cafe mochas and mocha frappes.
I got the vanilla latte and It was great.
Greatly enjoyed the beverages here. There is clear passion in the process and the product at Izzy's. I had the cardamom rose latte and my husband had a cappuccino. He is super picky about the ratio in it, and he said this was the most perfectly prepared cappuccino he has had in a very long time.
Best chocolate chip cookies on earth. Really nice hot chocolate also. I try everything possible to keep from driving down town Asheville but make an exception to go by Izzy’s.
Really good cold press coffee!
Love this place! Tasty cappuccino, nice atmosphere, great service!
Only four stars because it's kinda pricey! But cool environment and building. Their decaf coffee tastes amazing.
The dark atmosphere is inviting. It feels a bit seedy (in a good way). Low key and chill.
The 3 bean dream is an excellent choice!
The latte with homemade lavender syrup and oat milk was delicious. The service was outstanding. Definitely revisiting when in Asheville.
Super cool place. Downtown is friendlier than Haywood. Both have great coffee.
Nice little hole in the wall coffee shop. Didn't get the guy's name this morning who served me this morning, but he was very friendly, nice and professional. Great service. Tried the Mexican mocha. Tasty stuff!
Great coffee with a great vibe
Very good chai tea latte! I love their lavender syrup. Excellent atmosphere as well. A good place to meet up with friends.
A very inclusive place, great for hanging out with. They have vegan milk and gluten free options. And you can buy artsy pictures.
A solid, deeply dark roast of coffee is only matched by the deeply creative, anarchic spirit of the friendly staff. The mood is set by the rhythmic encumbrance music and the local art.
Hip coffee shop in downtown avl. They had some interesting daily drink specials listed and a good bagel selection. I enjoyed a quiet moment to myself before jumping back into the hustle and bustle of the day.
Izzy's Coffee Den was just ok. The staff was friendly, but the coffee wasn't good at all and it was overpriced. Gas station coffee is better and cheaper. It was not fresh and had a burnt taste. The ambiance if the coffee shop is cool and inviting.
I loved the laid back feel of this place and that the coffee was good quality and not too expensive. Also the art along with furniture was interesting.
The coffee was ok. The service was extremely slow. The environment was neat but not enough to get me to go out of my way to return. At least the coffee wasn't burnt.
Had a raspberry vanilla latte.
Hands down the best coffee in Asheville.
Delicious coffee and drinks, easy tables to work from, and nice staff. Definitely worth the visit.
Great coffee and nice staff.
I absolutely love every part of this place. I have found that this is the best coffee and all of Asheville. And I've tried a lot of coffee. The deserts are incredible. I personally recommend the lemon scone. Also with a chocolate chip cookie is great. Are cappuccinos are incredible and they'll even have vegan dairy-free milk. I would recommend that you come here anytime of day because any time is good time for coffee. By far the best place to get coffee in Asheville. I would definitely recommend.
Tasty coffee! The iced mocha latte was really lovely, really liked the relaxed atmosphere. They also sell art prints from local artists, which is awesome! I love to see businesses supporting artists. The people working there were really kind and froendly. Overall awesome experience :)
A warm spot on a cold day, kewl company in a hip place ...
What we ordered was great, the service lacked courteousness, my friend was told very forcefully to wear a mask while standing on the sidewalk looking at the menu. The attendant closed the window on us several times and then suggested we leave a tip.
The barista( a cute girl with arm tattoos) was great and the coffee was fantastic! The slow backdrop music helps soothe the mood! One of my friend was lactose intolerant and they had options for soy milk or almond milk.
Super funky spot. Kind of a hole in the wall place, but the coffee is really delicious and the baked goods are yummy too. The vibe is almost post-emo. The artwork is eclectic, and the place has a laid-back cool atmosphere!
barista was sweet :)
This was my first time here. I always believe in second chances, but first impressions were disappointing. The coffee is great, but the barista left a ton of room in the cup, because he “gave me the same serving size” after I asked for light ice, and he seemed annoyed that I kindly asked him to top it off for me.
Not super welcoming. I’ve been in a TON of coffee shops. I had a question about one of the specials and the guy working looked at me like I was an idiot. It seemed like he had better things to do. Ordered an iced lavender chai and it tasted like milk. We sat down and I soon realized the guy’s lady friend was there so he was focused on things other than customer service. There are better options less than a block away.
Usually busy but great coffee place. I try to go by whenever I'm in the area which is a few times a year. The staff are usually friendly and quick. Don't get discouraged if you see a long line, it can get pretty busy. However, they move quickly and the coffee is always worth the wait.
Do not get the Mexican hot chocolate!! I order my food spicy/hot and enjoy it. After one sip my lips were burning. After bringing this up with the staff we were told “what am I supposed to do about it? Add more milk?” What happened to Southern hospitality? With so many other good options this place will be a pass for us from now on.
Great service! But $18 for a pound of coffee out of my budget.
Delicious coffee! Chill. Plenty of seating. The WiFi is really slow though. Had trouble studying.
Great spot for an appetite of any size. I think I might become a regular. It has a cool interior. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
Cozy, quiet coffee shop downtown. Friendly staff, great coffee and fresh baked goods.
Love the cozy dark little spot with a neat coffee menu.
Fantastic establishment. Polite staff and good drinks, wonderful atmosphere and art. The tables along the wall are the perfect height for standing as well. A great place to get a drink and finish projects.
The gentleman that served us made an excellent drink recommendation, the Mexican Mocha! Fantastic! He also gave us a breakfast recommendation from which I'm writing this review :)
Great place for coffee. Good prices.
